Three 2009 Maroon Tide football players competed at the Nike Combine held in Charlotte, NC over the weekend. Devae Goins, Terrance "Boobie" Mazon, and Bryan Martin enjoyed competing against some of the best in the East. All three showed huge progress and tested out in the "above average/average" Sparq rating scale. They participated in four events at the combine: 40 yard dash, 20 yard shuttle run, vertical jump, and the powerball throw. All three came away from the combine with a new outlook on the amount of time/dedication/hard work that is needed to excel in football. They also gained a great deal of desire to continue their pursuit to play on the college level! Good Luck to the 2009 Maroon Tide!
